Hayter lawn mower are famed for the rear roller on them which creates a striped lawn finish. I came up with the concept of the #HayterStripes hashtag. It was an idea to build trust in the Hayter product line by getting the users of our products to share pictures of the results they produce.
It is an evergreen campaign that will continue forever.
I encouraged user participation through engaging with online influencers who were already sharing pictures of lawns cut with Hayter lawn mowers. They started to use the hash tag which influenced many others. I added the call to action to brochures, point of sale items, videos and adverts. I added call to actions to the social media profile cover photos. The cover photo showed one of the photos with text saying how we will share our favourites.
