Why should a CIO use Twitter?

Why should you use Twitter?

A CIO needs to lead the way for an enterprise. If they sit in the HQ behind glass doors and have very little visibility to the people on the office floor then their impact is limited. By having a twitter account with a mass of both internal and external followers it gives them a forum to share ideas and information and makes them available to everyone and anyone.

In this video SAP’s CIO Oliver Bussman talk about the benefit of having a voice within an organisation and being absorb information from leading industry experts and thought leaders.

Through sharing his ideas and ideas of others he can improve his position of being a thought leadership within the industry.
